Define your marketing goals
If you want to be a marketing wizard, you first need to define your marketing goals. What are you trying to achieve with your marketing? Are you trying to increase brand awareness? Drive traffic to your website? Generate leads? Make sales?
Your marketing goals should be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound. In other words, they should be SMART goals. Once you have defined your marketing goals, you can start working on achieving them.
Here are some tips for setting SMART marketing goals:
Specific: Your goal should be specific and focus on a single objective. For example, rather than setting a goal to “increase website traffic”, set a goal to “increase website traffic from organic search by 10% within 6 months”.
Measurable: Your goal should be something that you can measure. This will help you track your progress and determine whether or not you are achieving your goal.
Achievable: Your goal should be something that you can realistically achieve. If your goal is too ambitious, you will be setting yourself up for disappointment.
Relevant: Your goal should be relevant to your business. It should align with your business objectives and help you achieve your desired outcomes.
Time-bound: Your goal should have a deadline. This will help you stay on track and ensure that you don’t any lose focus.
Once you have set your SMART marketing goals, you need to start working on achieving them. One way to do this is to create a marketing plan. Your marketing plan should outline your marketing strategies and tactics, and it should be designed to help you achieve your marketing goals.
If you want to be a marketing wizard, follow these 7 (01) (not so) easy steps and you’ll be well on your way to achieving your marketing goals.
